Gainesville FL Moms Blog is passionate about supporting small, local, businesses. We decided to create our first ever Favorite Things guide with ideas and products just in time for Holiday Shopping. Haven’t crossed everyone off your list? Trying to find that perfect, unique gift? Last minute white elephant party? We’ve got you covered!
We think there is something special about supporting small businesses and these companies are bringing the joy back into shopping in real life! From local boutiques to artisans, we have some of our favorites below. The first few listings are our featured partners. They’ve been kind enough to gift us products to celebrate our AMAZING volunteer writing community who work hard all year long to tell their stories and share their tips to build a strong community of moms in our city. These businesses have also been generous enough to offer us products for giveaways to celebrate our readers! We’ll be launching giveaways soon so keep an eye on our social channels in the beginning of December!
Enjoy our first Gainesville FL Moms Blog Favorite Things Holiday Edition and Happy Shopping!
Salt & C Organics
Salt & C is a plant-based skin and body care company inspired by divine creation. God breathed life into every living thing when he spoke it into existence. His life (ACTS 17:25), His nature (ROMANS 1:20) & His power (JEREMIAH 10:12) permeate everything he creates. Every plan he spoke into existence hold this power in some capacity and we seek to find these plants and utilize their divine nature to heal, restore, refresh, and revive. Salt & C makes authentic, pure, natural, and powerful skincare products. Our products only contain the highest quality botanical ingredients sought out because of their divine, powerful nature. All products are handcrafted in small batches to ensure absolute freshness. Over 10% of all proceeds from Salt & C are donated to the community and missions outreach.
Bookish Apothecary specializes in beautiful handmade artisan soaps. Every batch is created in small quantities to ensure quality. Unlike the shower gels or soaps one typically purchases at the department stores, our soaps contain no detergents to dry out your skin. The soaps are crafted with skin loving oils, decadent butters, and enticing fragrances.
Saporito Oil Vinegar Spice
On July 1, 2015, we opened a local, family owned and operated shop, Saporito Oil, Vinegar, Spice. We are Gainesville’s premier extra virgin olive oil and balsamic vinegar tasting room. We are excited to share these with you and invite you to visit us at Saporito. Also, please explore our website to learn more about our exceptional products. Our family would love to meet you!
Our family business offers over 60 flavors of fresh extra virgin olive oil (EVOO) and authentic balsamic vinegar. Visitors can sample and pair before making a purchase and can also learn ways to enhance simple, everyday dishes. This tasting experience has been met with much excitement by health-conscious individuals and food-loving consumers. These delectable products are available to patrons at affordable prices.
We, along with our seven children, enjoy working together, sharing delicious and healthy products with the community and friendship with customers. It’s a privilege to partner with other locals sharing the goodness.
We are grateful for the support and encouragement from many and believe that when accurate chemistry data is provided and the superior quality is tasted, people find it difficult to settle for anything less. We invite you to visit Saporito and “Experience the flavor!”
AO Fit Designs
Handmade Cards For Health-Nuts & Fitness Enthusiasts.
My name is Annie and I am a wife, mother of two small children, and the owner of AO Fit Designs. I opened up my shop in 2014 with one main purpose: to make others happy with simple unique crafts. While my focus is still the same, AO Fit Designs has evolved into a shop that caters towards my love for Bacon and Health & Fitness. I can never find cards for special occasions that cater to my lifestyle, and I know I am not the only one. This is why I decided to create handmade cards that solve this problem all while using my own personal humorous touch.
